Chesapeake Irish Terrier Club (CITC)

The Chesapeake Irish Terrier Club (CITC) is not just any breed club; it's a community of passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to the health, happiness, and well-being of the beloved Irish Terrier. Based in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, our members come from all walks of life, united by their love of this magnificent breed.

At the CITC, we take our responsibilities seriously, and we spare no effort to ensure that Irish Terriers are well-cared for and well-loved. As a very active club, we host an impressive array of events throughout the year, including up to four Designated Specialty Shows and a weekend of four AKC Independent Specialty Shows every Fall over one weekend. These events are not only an opportunity for our members to showcase their dogs' talents and beauty, but also to socialize, learn, and grow as a community.

But our commitment to the Irish Terrier doesn't end there. We are also deeply involved in educational activities, working tirelessly to raise awareness about this wonderful breed, its history, and its unique characteristics. Additionally, we rescue local Irish Terriers in need of new homes, providing them with the love, care, and attention they deserve.

At the CITC, we believe that anyone who shares our love and passion for the Irish Terrier is welcome. Whether you own one as a pet, a companion, or a show dog, or simply admire them from afar, we invite you to join us and help support the continued growth of this amazing breed. Together, we can ensure that the Irish Terrier remains a cherished and beloved companion for generations to come.

Irish Terrier Club of Northern California (ITCNC)

The Irish Terrier Club of Northern California has approximately 80 members.  The ITCNC is a very social group that holds quarterly events for the membership and sponsors two Irish terrier specialties each year.  One of the specialty shows is held on a Saturday in conjunction with the Golden Gate Kennel Club, a large benched show, and occurs in San Francisco during the last weekend in January each year.
Many officers and members attend the show and help to educate the public with regard to the Irish terrier breed.  Our second specialty of the year is held in conjunction with the Northern California Terrier Association on a Friday during the second week of April in Sacramento (there are 4 days of shows available during that week due to back-to-back placements of the NCTA and Kennel Club of Sacramento shows).

The Irish Terrier Club of Southern California (ITCSC)

The Irish Terrier Club of Southern California (ITCSC) is dedicated to Irish Terriers in all walks of life. We support our members who compete in performance events as well as members who own a wonderful Irish as a pet. We are always ready to rescue and find a home for an Irish Terrier that has lost its way!

The ITCSC supports the entry of the Desert Empire Terrier Club of Southern California held on Thursday and Friday in the first week of January. This comes before the Palm Springs shows on Saturday and Sunday and located at the Polo Fields in Indio. Specialties take place in late June, in conjunction with the Great Western Terrier Association (GWTA) at the Sante Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale. The Specialties are held on Friday and Saturday with a supported entry at GWTA on Sunday. The ITCSC takes great pride in our hospitality at this event with lunch provided on Friday and Saturday. We sponsor no-host dinners on Friday and Saturday nights.
